Privacy Policy
Zone Zero Navigator is a photo-based wildfire screening and documentation tool. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, who processes it, and the choices users have.
What we collect
- Property photos you choose to capture or upload.
- Address text and jurisdiction selections you enter.
- Generated reports, annotations, findings, confidence notes, and action-plan text.
- Optional email address if you choose report backup or recovery.
- Purchase verification records for premium report credits, including store, product ID, transaction ID, verification status, and a receipt hash.
- Basic technical data needed to operate the service, such as request IDs, timestamps, error states, and rate-limit signals.
How we use data
- Analyze visible wildfire-risk conditions in the 0 to 5 foot ember-resistant zone.
- Generate free and premium screening reports.
- Save reports when backup is enabled.
- Recover reports through optional email backup.
- Validate premium purchases and prevent duplicate purchase claims.
- Maintain service security, rate limiting, debugging, and reliability.
AI and service providers
- Uploaded images and related screening prompts are sent to Anthropic to produce the wildfire screening report.
- Reports, authentication, saved records, and saved photo storage use Supabase when backup or report history is enabled.
- Stripe processes web checkout. Resend delivers transactional and opted-in reminder email. Vercel hosts the production app and Upstash provides rate limiting.
- We do not use camera or photo data for advertising, marketing profiling, sale of data, or unrelated model prompts.
Retention and deletion
- Session-only photos remain in browser/session storage unless a report is saved.
- Saved reports remain available for report history and recovery until you delete your account data or request support.
- Purchase records are retained as needed for fraud prevention, accounting, app-store compliance, and customer support.
- Operational logs should avoid raw photos and full addresses and are retained only as needed for security and troubleshooting.
- Signed-in users can export or permanently delete saved account data from the Profile page.
Your choices
- You can use the scanner without creating an official user account.
- You can skip optional email backup.
- You can choose upload instead of camera capture.
- You should not upload photos you are not authorized to process.
- Do not upload images containing people, license plates, security codes, children, private documents, or neighboring property details unless necessary and authorized.
California privacy notice
- California privacy rules generally expect notice at or before collection, categories of collected personal information, use purposes, sharing disclosures, retention/deletion practices, and ways to exercise rights.
- Zone Zero is designed to collect only data needed for wildfire screening, report backup, purchase verification, and service security.
- We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- If legal thresholds apply, California residents may request access, correction, deletion, or information about how their data is handled.
How to exercise privacy rights
- Signed-in users can export or delete saved account data from the Profile page.
- For access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests, contact matt@matthewrhoads.com with the email address associated with the report or account.
- We may need to verify your request before acting on it and may retain limited records where required for fraud prevention, accounting, security, or legal compliance.
Contact and data requests
Signed-in users can download or delete account data from the Profile page. For correction or other privacy questions, use the contact page and include enough information to identify the report or email backup account. Do not send raw API keys or sensitive security details through the contact form.
